Hillary is a Liar

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Kind of a shocking headline isn’t it? It shouldn’t even be news because Hillary has been lying for a while. That’s the gist of my new article “Hillary is a Liar” at the New Media Journal. While you’re reading about Hillary lying, read Chris Adamo’s article titled “Stop the Presses! Hillary Lied!”

Chris writes about how the national media have been ignoring both Bill and Hillary Clinton’s lies and drinking the Clinton Kool-Aid. While were talking about the Left, go ahead and read Frank Salvato’s latest editorial “The Insolent Arrogance of the Progressive-Left.”

You’ll want to read the editorial last; it will have your blood boiling and you may need to go for a walk afterwards.

These three articles are three more reasons why conservatives and evangelicals have got to join together to stop the shift of this country to the Left. We cannot let Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton win the White House.

Are you listening Ann Coulter?

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

There is something you do not learn during Black History Month! According to Frances Rice, “It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why?”…read more.

I happened upon a wonderful website, The National Black Republican Association. They have a wealth of information there and I encourage you to visit their website.

Pass this on to all your liberal friends and family members and watch them turn apoplectic (look it up!).

I want you to meet my new hero. His name is Nick Vujicic and he is a living example of what Jesus Christ can do in a life regardless your circumstances. Hat tip to Rob Sutphin for bringing this amazing man to my attention.

After watching this video you are going to want to visit his website, Life Without Limbs.

Watch this video and be amazed and humbled:

Six Months Ago

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Six months ago today my son Eddie was killed in Iraq (September 19, 2007). So much has happened in these past six months, and yet it feels as though I found out about Eddie six minutes ago.

With all the things happening in our country and the constant drumbeat for change from our political candidates, one thing has remained constant. Jesus Christ is faithful to meet our needs before we even know we have them. My family has been greatly sustained by the Sustainer and all of your precious prayers.

I wanted to include all of Eddie’s articles and the three I wrote for him, plus the tribute video for Eddie and the video I made to explain how great our God is.

We love you Eddie!

My Interview with Greg Allen, Part 2

Monday, March 17th, 2008

Here is the second part of my interview last Friday with Greg Allen on The Right Balance.

Pope’s Short-term Memory

Monday, March 17th, 2008

It seems as though Pope Benedict XVI has short-term memory when it comes to Iraq. In his Palm Sunday message he said, “At the same time, I make an appeal to the Iraqi people, who for the past five years have borne the consequences of a war that provoked the breakup of their civil and social life.”

Let’s look at the Iraqi civil and social life under the rule of Saddam Hussein:

1. “Under Saddam’s regime many hundreds of thousands of people have died as a result of his actions - the vast majority of them Muslims.”

2. “According to a 2001 Amnesty International report, ‘victims of torture in Iraq are subjected to a wide range of forms of torture, including the gouging out of eyes, severe beatings and electric shocks… some victims have died as a result and many have been left with permanent physical and psychological damage.”

3. “Saddam has had approximately 40 of his own relatives murdered.”

4. “Allegations of prostitution used to intimidate opponents of the regime, have been used by the regime to justify the barbaric beheading of women.”

5. “Documented chemical attacks by the regime, from 1983 to 1988, resulted in some 30,000 Iraqi and Iranian deaths.”

6. “Human Rights Watch estimates that Saddam’s 1987-1988 campaign of terror against the Kurds killed at least 50,000 and possibly as many as 100,000 Kurds. The Iraqi regime used chemical agents to include mustard gas and nerve agents in attacks against at least 40 Kurdish villages between 1987-1988. The largest was the attack on Halabja which resulted in approximately 5,000 deaths. Two thousand Kurdish villages were destroyed during the campaign of terror.”

7. “Iraq’s 13 million Shi’a Muslims, the majority of Iraq’s population of approximately 22 million, face severe restrictions on their religious practice, including a ban on communal Friday prayer, and restriction on funeral processions.”

8. “The UN Special Rapporteur’s September 2001, report criticized the regime for ‘the sheer number of executions,’ the number of ‘extrajudicial executions on political grounds,’ and ‘the absence of a due process of the law.”

9. “Executions: Saddam Hussein’s regime has carried out frequent summary executions, including: a) 4,000 prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison in 1984 o 3,000 prisoners at the Mahjar prison from 1993-1998; b) 2,500 prisoners were executed between 1997-1999 in a ‘prison cleansing campaign’; c) 122 political prisoners were executed at Abu Ghraib prison in February/March 2000; d) 23 political prisoners were executed at Abu Ghraib prison in October 2001; e) At least 130 Iraqi women were beheaded between June 2000 and April 2001.

10. “The U.S. Committee for Refugees, in 2002, estimated that nearly 100,000 Kurds, Assyrians and Turkomans had previously been expelled, by the regime, from the ‘central-government-controlled Kirkuk and surrounding districts in the oil-rich region bordering the Kurdish controlled north.”

Now that is quite a top-ten list of reasons Iraq had a better “civil and social life.”

Ah, for the good ol’ days!

Inner Fire 3

Folks, you want to buy this CD before this group becomes famous so you can say you knew about them before they got real big!

Go to their website Inner Fire Music and read all about them and get your CD. As their producer says about them, “Working with Bernie, Faith and Johnna was a complete joy for me! I enjoy working with amazingly talented people with a heart for ministry. I truly believe that InnerFire will be a household name in Gospel Music very soon!”.

You can also see them at their MySpace page.

Now as a matter of full disclosure I have to say that I am Bernie and Faith Joyner’s uncle. Before you’re amazed that there would be any musical talent on my part, Faith is my wife Karen’s niece. Faith is the daughter of Karen’s brother Randy, so you can see that I married up!

Notwithstanding, please pass the word about this wonderful up and coming Christian group; the Lord is going to bless their ministry and you’re going to want to be a part of it. You can listen to their songs at their website and then order the CD through PayPal for only $15, including S&H! When you order your CD tell them you heard about Inner Fire on the Salt and Light blog, just so I can thank all of you.

God bless!

A Private Matter

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

If I hear one more liberal excuse as a private matter an adulterous politician I think I will scream! I do, however, have a cure for this.

Here’s a question we need to ask candidates before they are elected:

“With the recent public spotlight of adulterous politicians, and this question requires only a yes or no answer and I will give you one minute to explain your yes or no answer, my question is, is this a private matter? Should the public have a right to expect their politicians to not commit adultery?”

HELLO! 8O

Most politicians run on values and high standards and so I think this is a fair question. I want to know if there is another Bill Clinton or Elliot Spitzer, is their shameful adulterous behavior strictly a private matter. Any politicians that answers yes get the heave-ho from me.

The twisted, contorted, and sad explanations coming from liberals defending Spitzer’s despicable, illegal, and hypocritical behavior is a very revealing commentary on society. As I wrote in my book “Understanding Evangelicals: A Guide to Jesusland,” we are in the middle of a societal civil war.

Are we paying attention yet?

Susan Estrich: Nasty Twists in Democratic Race

Monday, March 10th, 2008

Here’s a copy of the email I sent to Fox News about Susan Estrich’s latest commentary:

Ms. Estrich’s latest commentary gives a wonderful insight into the liberal mind. Here are a few of the revealing comments in quotation marks with my commentary in italics:

“It used to be that you could have fun with interviews with the foreign press, knowing that nothing you said would make it back to any voters until long after the election was over, if ever. Say goodbye to those days; say hello to Matt Drudge.” Oh for the good old days when liberals could go overseas, protest against America, make whatever disparaging remarks about America and Americans without being held responsible for our words. Drat that Matt Drudge!

“Her description of the New York senator as ‘a monster’ was all over the place, beginning with the much-read DrudgeReport, within hours, as were some of her other juicy quotes, which clearly had not been meant for an American audience.” Translation: “Of course if I knew that my talking behind Senator Clinton’s back would ever get back to her, I would have never said such a cowardly thing.” Drat that Matt Drudge!

“Of course, Power really didn’t mean any of it. Or so she now is being forced to say, after the comments caused the explosion they did. Sen. Obama apologized. Power resigned from her unpaid position in the campaign.” Translation: While Professor Power meant every word she said, of course she would have never said it had she known she would be held accountable for it. Now because her cowardly remarks were published she has to say she didn’t mean any of it. Drat that Matt Drudge!

“People hate negative tactics, but the fact is, as the 3 a.m. ad demonstrates, they can be very effective. How to fight them without getting covered with mud is the challenge Obama and his advisers must confront. All I can say, to quote Professor Power, is “Ergh.” This is the “ergh” period of the campaign, and it’s not likely to end soon.” How do you avoid “getting covered with mud?” Stop throwing it into the wind. Liberals still think they own the media. Drat that Matt Drudge!

As Rush Limbaugh always says, “Liberals will always be liberals above all else.”

New Definition for Revise

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

According to Dictionary.com, revise used to mean “to amend or alter: to revise one’s opinion.”

Associated Press “reporter” Sara Kugler’s definition of revise means “to lie, to tell an untruth: to revise the truth.”

Now Ms. Kugler would probably disagree with my assertion of her new definition, but I will let her article titled “Clinton Revises Remark on Women in Miss” speak for her.

This little tidbit from the article is quite revealing: “Speaking to radio station WJZD-FM in Gulfport, Miss., the former first lady said the comments she made about the state in the run up to the Iowa caucuses ‘were not exactly what I said,’ even though they came directly from an interview she gave to the Des Moines Register in October.”

Um, Sara…Mrs. Clinton has once again lied. She didn’t revise her remarks; she lied about them. She did not tell an “untruth” (from the Algore Dictionary); she lied. Mrs. Clinton lied because she is a liar.

See Sara, doesn’t that give you a sense of freedom? Try saying it one time Sara, “the former first lady (now senator) lied.” Truth has a wonderfully free feeling about it; doesn’t it?

No doubt! Jesus said that “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

Me and Mark Levin

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

I know that’s not proper English (for all my readers who are teachers and former teachers), but I wanted to share with you my conversation with Mark Levin on his show last night. I had emailed Mark earlier this week and told him we would be celebrating Eddie’s birthday today and he asked me to come on his show Friday night to wish Eddie a Happy Birthday.

Mark is a wonderful human being and has been very kind to my family; the response from his listeners when he read Eddie’s “Hope Rides Alone” on the air was phenomenal. Mark was also kind enough to give a shout out to my blog and I sure appreciate that. Here is the clip from last night’s show.

Homeschooling Harmed

Friday, March 7th, 2008

I wrote in my book a chapter on education and I outline how the National Education Association, the state chapters, and teacher associations are determined to outlaw homeschooling in America.

Having grown up in California few things surprise me about the Golden State and a recent state court of appeals ruling is no different. As a parent, you do not have a right to homeschool your child if you do not have teaching credentials in California. The old saying is “as California goes, so goes the country.”

So all you evangelicals and conservatives who are planning on staying home in November to teach the Republican Party a lesson, if you hand all three branches of government to the Democrats then prepare yourself for the homeschooling attack to spread.

This is one of the areas I will be addressing what is at stake in this year’s election.

The Star Spangled Banner

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

[Hat tip to Tom Jennings for emailing this to me]:

I promise that you have never heard our great nation’s National Anthem sung like this. This group is known as the Cactus Cuties and here is what the YouTube video description says about them:

This is a video of the Cactus Cuties, very talented young ladies ranging in age from 8 to 13 singing The Star Spangled Banner. The performance was at the Texas Tech vs Texas basketball game January 20, 2008 in front of over 11,000 people. The Cuties are Andi, Baylee, Blaire, Madeline and Tatum.

I was not able to embed the video here because the embed link has been disabled, so just use this link to go to YouTube and watch this amazing performance!

Turn up your speakers and be amazed. I just love this!

I’m Just Sayin’

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

Where do I start?

Barack Obama says “Sermon on Mount Justifies Same-Sex Unions.”
SmileyCentral.com
I remember last July when Obama said that the Christian religion had been hijacked. I completely agreed with him but for different reasons I laid out in my New Media Journal article titled “Losing My Religion.” I’m not going to waste any space here rebutting this obvious heresy.

Here’s one thing I didn’t know until a few minutes ago…you ready for this? Hillary Clinton said last July that she had “felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, and I have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit on many occasions in my years on this earth.” As you read it her theology is typically “inclusive” although she does have a surprising and somewhat accurate description of the Bible.

Speaking of Hillary, all of you media dumdits need to put your shovels away and stop trying to bury Hillary alive. Rod Martin has an excellent post on his blog about Hillary’s resilience titled “So You Thought She Was Out, Did You?” Check it out; Rod Martin probably knows more about the Clintons than most folks; Rod was born in Hope, Arkansas!

Lot’s a VP speculation about who McCain will pick to run on the GOP ticket and as a Floridian I hope, hope it isn’t our Governor Charlie Crist. Odds on favorite for Hillary is Senator Evan Bayh from Indiana and many people are speculating it could be Obama; could be. One thing for sure, if Obama picks Hillary as his running mate he proves how naive he is. I, for one, would not want my last breath be the only thing between Hillary and the Oval Office! Nope, not me!!
SmileyCentral.com

Here’s a surprising news story: “Poll: McCain Not Attracting Evangelicals” I hope you didn’t spend any taxpayer money trying to figure that out! I’m sure many of the dumdits are shocked that evangelicals actually are not single-issue voters. Let me clear it up for you; real evangelicals have a litmus test, if you support a woman’s right to kill her baby, you’re through. If you pass that test, then we’ll look at the rest of you. Is that clear enough?

As for the loser SmileyCentral.com who bombed the recruiting station at Times Square, you are to be loathed and pitied for your cowardice. Loathed because you abuse the freedoms that the very people who walk through those doors to defend freedom; pitied because in your pathetic little mind you probably believe you have done something righteous. How pathetic!

Okay, I’m done for now. Let me know what you think!

Rod is Blogging Again

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Rod Martin, the chairman of TheVanguard.org and the sponsor of this blog has been busily raising money and gathering up conservative supporters all around the country.

Rod’s been so busy that he hasn’t got to do one of his great loves and that is writing.

Well, Rod’s back for awhile and he has been making up for lost time. Please visit Rod’s blog and get caught up and leave some comments!

Super Tuesday 2

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Congratulations to Senator John McCain who won the Republican nomination fair and square without a majority of conservatives. Mike Huckabee has conceded defeat to McCain and congratulated the Senator.

I’m listening to Obama’s speech from San Antonio now. This man is all style and no substance but that’s okay because that describes 90% of Obama supporters. Most Obama supporters cannot tell you anything specific why they want to vote for Obama. It’s because, he’s black, he’s a great speaker, he’s going to pull the country back together, he brings us hope…yada yada yada.

My good buddy JB Williams has, as my pastor likes to say, peeled the onion back on Barack. In JB’s article “The Two Faces of Barack Hussein Obama” at the New Media Journal we get the look at Obama that you’re not going to get at any other news media outlet.

Please pass this on to others; especially all the Barack Backers.
