Mark Levin Reads “Hope Rides Alone”

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

This past Friday night, Mark Levin , known as F. Lee Levin by Rush Limbaugh and The Great One by Sean Hannity, read Eddie’s letter, Hope Rides Alone, on his radio show. It is a very moving reading, done in a way only Mark Levin could do.

Thanks to Scott of Mark Levin Fan Blog for sending this to me, to Mr. Levin for reading, and once again to Frank Salvato of The New Media Journal for publishing it.

Victory Through Veto

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

We are now at a crossroads in the Global War on Terror (GWOT). Both the House of Representatives and the Senate have passed their versions of the Surrender Bill. Each bill contains timetables for withdrawal that tells the enemy that if you just lay low for a year, stop attacking us, America will run home just as it did in Vietnam and Somalia…

If you’d like to read the rest of the article titled “Victory Through Veto“, go to the New Media Journal and click the link under the headlines there.

Folks, we need to let the Senate and House know that we support the President’s veto. We must, must inundate all of DC with our resounding rejection of these surrender bills. No more being the Silent Majority, it is time to awaken the Sleeping Bear that is traditional America.

Also, we must pool are resources to fight MoveON.org because they are whuppin’ us right now. That can stop so please join TheVanguard.org today if you haven’t already. Many people wonder what they can do to counter the leftist movement in this country, well now you have two ways: join TheVanguard.org and write to your legislators as I advocate in my article.

Have a blessed weekend!

Culture of Death Begins Gnashing of Teeth

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

As you know, this past Wednesday, April 18, a great victory was won for unborn children. The US Supreme Court upheld the Partial Birth Abortion Ban of 2003. Praise God! The loud whine you heard was not the jet engine dryers used at NASCAR races but the gnashing of teeth from the Left. Why the outcry? Because they have been betrayed by their holy temple. See what I mean by reading my article, Culture of Death Begins Gnashing of Teeth, and thanks once again to Frank Salvato of the New Media Journal for providing an outlet to us “aspiring writers.”

Have a blessed weekend!

Nevada Negation

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Nevada’s one of the most conservative states in the Union, but you can do what you want in Vegas and nobody judges you. Drew Carey

If comedian Drew Carey is to be believed, would someone in the “Battle Born State” please explain Senator Harry Reid! How is it that the state whose motto is “All For Our Country” elected someone whose personal motto is “All For the Democrats”? You’ve by now heard that Senator Reid believes that the “war is lost.” It is encouraging to note that people in Senator Reid’s hometown of Searchlight, NV are not 100% behind him (see video).

Let’s cut to the chase…what Senator Reid said was at best ridiculous and at worst undermines our troops while in harm’s way. Now I’ve heard the charges of sedition and treason, but trust me (and I’ve looked hard), both charges would be hard to prove. I know I accuse Senator Reid below of “seditious comments” but when you look at the definition, it is an uphill battle.

Instead, let’s concentrate our efforts on letting Senator Reid know how disgusted we are with his comments. This gives all of you who consider yourself as part of the “Silent Majority” a chance to be silent no more. I encourage you to email Senator Reid and tell him how outraged you are by his comments. Here is a copy of what I sent Senator Reid today:

Dear Senator Reid,

It is with trembling hands and elevated blood pressure that I write this email. My son is serving his second tour in Ramadi and is so proud of his work and the great success they are having. He wrote about this in an article you can find at the New Media Journal.

You may be surprised that the war is actually being won, at least in the eyes of those actually fighting the war.

You sir are exactly the type of American my son had in mind when he wrote his first article, Hope Rides Alone, which has become very famous throughout the blogsophere. Just Google “Eddie Jeffers” and you will be amazed at the response to this article. He has received over 1000 emails from nearly 700 people saying your type does not speak for America. If you’re interested to know how your seditious comments affect the troops, then read the article.

You may be wondering what type of coverage you are getting overseas and you will no doubt be proud to know that Al Jazeera is giving you front page coverage. Congratulations Senator, you’ve made the big time in the Arab World. You are no doubt the talk of the town.

I served 22 years in the Army and it pains me to see that Democrats care only for politics and nothing for the troops. Your conduct, alongside you counterpart in the House, is disgraceful and has brought immeasurable shame to our great country. Even though I doubt you have the ability to feel so, you should be ashamed of yourself.

David Jeffers
Master Sergeant (Ret)
United States Army

I also left a voice mail at the following number: 202-224-3542. I chose the voice mail option over actually talking to one of his aides because I seriously doubt that anyone within his circle is willing or allowed to give the Majority Leader any news that doesn’t support his position.

Nearly 700 people have written my son Eddie in response to his article “Hope Rides Alone” and they have overwhelmingly said that they are part of the Silent Majority that supports the troops. You can no longer afford to be silent; our troops need us at this pivotal time in history. If we Americans overwhelm Senator Reid and all the Democrat leaders’ with our steadfast support of the troops and President Bush, then they will respond. As Colonel David Hunt so eloquently stated in his column, To Fund or Not to Fund, That is the Question, “We are the greatest nation in the world … how about we act like it?” Indeed!

I’ll leave you with an excerpted reminder from Eddie’s article Hope Rides Alone:

“We are the hope of the Iraqi people…Right now, the burden is all on the American soldiers. Right now, hope rides alone. But it can change, it must change. Because there is only failure and darkness ahead for us as a country, as a people, if it doesn’t. Let’s stop all the political nonsense, let’s stop all the bickering, let’s stop all the bad news and let’s stand and fight! Isn’t that what America is about anyway?”

I exhort you all, Nevadans and the rest of the American people, to first contact Senator Reid and then contact all of your legislators in Washington D.C. to stop playing petty politics and allow our magnificent military to win this war. That’s the only thing stopping them.

And The Week Is Only Half Over!

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

Wow! Where to begin? First, praise God for the Supreme Court upholding the ban on partial birth abortion signed by President Bush. While I understand why some evangelicals stayed away from the polls in 2006, the presidential nomination is huge. As Rod Martin wrote on his blog today:

“For those who’ve decided the Presidency doesn’t matter, or that a Republican Congress (which we no longer have) can better restrain spending with a Democrat President, the message is perfectly clear: a Hillary or an Obama would have appointed another Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the Court, turning this 5-4 victory for life into a 6-3 defeat. Right now, Roe v. Wade itself is on the ropes. One more Republican Presidency could finish it; one more Democrat could keep it on the books for a generation.”

We must remember that the stakes are too high to not vote. We must be involved now and not wait to help promote strong conservative candidates. No more sitting on the sidelines. Get involved…join the NFRA and The Vanguard.org if you haven’t already.

As far as the War on Terror goes, indeed it was a bloody day in Baghdad and it is hard to find any good news coming out of Iraq. Knowing that “reporters” aren’t going to do their jobs and report the full story, I asked my son Eddie to send me a report as soon as he could. Check out his latest article on the New Media Journal titled, “Real Deal in Ramadi.”

Finally, I will be appearing on Greg Allen’s show The Right Balance this Friday at 10:06 until 10:20 CST (11:06 Eastern; 8:06 Pacific). Give a listen, Greg Allen has the best show on radio…you can listen online.

God bless!

Global Warming Gag

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

One can only imagine how hot it would be this month of April if it were not for global warming. I mean instead of it being the coldest April in 113 years, it would be the coldest April ever!

I know, you’re thinking, how I can I deny global warming when there is such a consensus about it? Because science is not a consensus. Please see what the brilliant Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma has to say about the media coverage of global warming.

You know as an evangelical Christian I always look to God and the Bible for answers to current events and I can’t help but wonder, since God is the creator and sustainer of the earth, that if He doesn’t have a sense of humor about global warming. Poor protestors couldn’t even have a rally about global warming because of the cold weather.

Goodbye Giuliani

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

Well if anyone still doubts Rudy Giuliani’s inability to win the GOP nomination, then take a gander at this: Giuliani stands by support of publicly-funded abortions.

If any self-respecting Republican, you RINOs included, think that Rudy Giuliani is going to win the GOP nomination believing that abortion is a constitutional right, then you need to have a closer look at that bump on your head.

Rudy needs to do the honorable thing and step down because all he is doing is sucking the oxygen and dollars from real conservative candidates. We don’t even need to discuss the way he treated his second wife, and his double-mindedness on the issues, such as abortion and gay marriage, is not going to endear him any better with conservatives.

Rudy, it was a good ride, we thank you for being America’s Mayor during one of our country’s most trying times in America, but we are in the middle of a social civil war and we as conservatives can not tolerate another George McClellan leading the fight. Do the right thing Rudy, say goodbye.
