Davo,

I was appalled when I heard the comments John Warner made. As i drove to my appointment I called the Senators office and let him know that the slient majority did not agree with the absurdity of his statement and that our troops need all the support they can get in light of the left's attempts to bring them home. I also asked his aide who he owed a favor to to make that statement, and that he should not count on being employed come next election. This man, along with the likes of Specter, Snowe, McCain, and the rest of the RINO parade are an embarrassment to the GOP and our nation.

According to Senator Warner, VA.....``We simply cannot as a nation stand and continue to put our troops at continuous risk of loss of life and limb without beginning to take some decisive action,'' Warner, who returned from Iraq last week and met with top administration officials yesterday, said during a news conference at the Capitol.

I agree with Warner, but the "decisive action" is not to "surrender", but to attack.........we should have been attacking Iran and Syria years ago........the gutless cowardly Congress has fought and rejected a winning strategy for years, openly defied the Commander in Chief, hypocritical in voting to go to war and then threatening to not fund it; contributed significantly to the disunity in America, encouraged and emboldened the enemy, and the President listened to spineless advisors with a "cannon fodder" mentality.........attack, attack, attack should have been the cry from day one.......if we know where the threat is, why in God's name would we give them sanctuary; let them continue to attack and kill our warriors without consequence, without accountability?

Now the JCS wants to withdraw troops, General Petraeus and our leaders on the ground don't, the Administration seems against it, Congress is leaning toward withdrawal............who in hell is in charge? Is the Commander in Chief in charge or not? If he is then, there is only one way...attack, attack, attack.............

Leadership in Washington, DC may be guilty of criminal activity...I can think of nothing more despicable that having the wherewithal to win but choose to surrender...sacrificing the lives of our men and women warriors to satisfy personal political agendas; where are the patriots with a backbone, gone to jelly everyone...........

Okay, here's my comment; not as poignantly funny as Bill's, but I'm not feeling very humorous:

Senator Warner,

You have succeeded in sending a message to the world. That message has probably affected more than you intended; at least I hope that's true.

I'm sure you've enraged the Iraqi government by joining the Democrats in telling a sovereign nation how to govern itself.

I'm sure you've caused great damage to the confidence of the Iraqi people that America will not abandon them in this most important and dire time in their new history.

I'm sure you've caused great anguish to our wonderful troops knowing that if you and Democrats get their way, the job in Iraq will be left undone. Much of the anguish will come from knowing that if they leave too soon then their buddies will have died in vain and thousands upon thousands of wounded soldier will have suffered for nothing.

I'm sure you've caused more reasons for conservatives to either work very hard against RINOs such as yourself and rid the Congress of spineless politicians. Or worse for our country, cause angst among conservatives to punish the GOP and not vote. I pray it is the former; I for one will be giving all I have to it.

My e-mail - Your public comments advising an almost immediate initiation of troop withdrawals are nothing short of moronic. You really need to send an apology and a thank-you note to the Soldiers who sacrifice daily just to provide you the right to be an idiot. While you're at it, send another note to the real republicans/conservatives (and our President).

Please, do the rest of America a favor and retire NOW...before your stupidity causes even more damage (read - headlines in the daily papers of our enemies).

Hi Dave- you know, it just kills me that headlines on all news sources, whenever a liberal rino "republican" does something so stupid like this, all make it our to seem like these people actually have a lot of clout within the republican party. What a joke- if it weren't for the troops fighting their you know what's off. This makes me sick, as does the fact that whatever news source- the traditional ones anyway, all are still showing that people think we're gonna lose. Like you said- that's just great! If you live in the pro islamofascist areas of the middle east. I still think we ought to ship all the liberal peaceniks over to places like Iran and Syria- see how long they'd last over there. God Bless you Dave, for getting the message out. I'm going to e mail Warner right now. Carolyn >: (
