Hi Dave. I do agree with you, even though my guy would be Alan Keys- only if Obama wasn't so popular. I hate the thought of the lesser evil type thing that we seem to be stuck with, but seeing as it really is the only choice- I would strongly suggest McCain as well. Against Obama's "lets talk to that little guy Ahmidinijad" (Sorry about the spelling...) especially after his goofy talk about comparing himself to Regan and USSR, well McCain at least understands that a country need not be as big as the Soviet Union to be extremely dangerous and martyr happy. However, I would really, really urge Republican voters to persuade McCain on his whole global warming position- as that is about as left/socialist as one can get~ God Bless you Dave, and keep up the good fight!!
I would not think of giving a vitriolic response to exhortations to vote for McCain, especially because I've gotten so much of that treatment myself when I tell others I won't vote for McCain. I have no quarrel with those who decide to vote for him, but I hate it when people bad-mouth me for deciding not to. Thankfully, I feel comfortable enough here to be able to say that without fear of abusive words here.

I think it'd be redundant to point out McCain's well-known flaws, including inexcusable dishonesty, but I wanna mention something that really has been under-discussed by the conservative media: his talk of making the economies of the world interdependent on each other. To get into the Trilateral Commission, the World Bank, and more would be too much for a comment at this blog. But the Rothschilds are some who are at the heart of this effort to remove national borders and national armies, thereby creating a North American Union that overrides the Canadian, American, and Mexican Constitutions. McCain's campaign did not respond to Judicial Watch's inquiry about funds that were exchanged in a top-secret England meeting in March with the Rothschilds. I could say a lot more, but I'll reserve the rest for now. I just wanted to point out that McCain is into some really shady stuff. I really find it disturbing that he had nothing to say about Code Pink and the Berkeley outrage.

I know what is at stake in the 2008 election, and actually, to my thinking, that is why I won't vote for McCain. I think McCain would destroy what we cherish. I'd rather trust honest candidates such as Chuck Baldwin or Ron Paul, even if they don't have the media's attention or the majority of Americans' support. But really, this whole situation seems like a no-win, until we all wake up to how our election has been nothing short of HIJACKED. And if we realize that, we need to apply pressure in the ways we can. There's not a perfect situation right now, I know. But I believe God will preserve America somehow.

Anyway, thanks for putting up with my long comment.

The North American Union is scheduled for completion by 2010, and I don't believe that McCain will oppose it, especially given his track record of belligerently pushing for amnesty. National borders don't matter to him, I mean to say.

David,
Hi! It's been a while since I have visited your site. Miss it!

I agree. I have done a lot of painful thinking about this and I too think it is imperitive we vote McCain, and we vote for our congressmen and women as well. We have to show up. We can't 'punish' the GOP. They didn't listen last time people punished them. It just gave control to the libs. We are in danger of losing a lot of seats in Congress already. The thought of Obama leading and a HUGE majority of insane libs leading in Congress gives me heartburn! ;~0

As much as I would dream of a Thompson candidate, it didn't happen and it isn't about 'me' anyway. It is about our country. Yes, John McCain is a huge threat via his fanaticism on Global Warming, BUT he is a friend to Israel and to our military. I am confident he would be strong on the war on terror. Everything else he says he stands for that is conservative I don't trust him on, but he has been pretty steadfast on those two issues. I won't jump on the straight talk express by no means, but I will encourage my friends to hold their nose and vote for McCain.

Christopher,
I agree. I don't think it is right for us to get nasty with someone else if they choose not to vote for McCain. It has taken me this long to come to my decision that I need to vote for him, but prior to that I was getting the third degree from McCainites. THey were basically saying I was an idiot. I totally understand why someone couldn't vote for him.

I had to face the truth that -it is what it is- in my case. When I had someone in the military who read my blog e-mail me and tell me there are a lot of men in the armed forces who are concerned and preferred McCain over Obama or Hillary I started re-thinking my plans to not go to the polls or vote Alan Keyes. I mean McCain disgusts me to be honest, but not as disgusting as Obama or Hillary.

Another person I met is from Israel. He spoke at our church and is an Israeli Christian. He is an incredible theologan and has written several books. He suggested at dinner that although there isn't much to choose from between the three candidates, he said we have to really think about who would support ISrael and he said McCain would be the most supportive, Clinton second, but Obama is totally scary.
