It's always been the Persian Gulf- and tome, it always will be the Persian Gulf- no matter what some fresh faced young brat thinks it is- I'm surprised they haven't shown Israel to be palestine yet- or have they? I don't use google anyway, but I think they ought to change it back. Too bad these kids never learned Geography. Thanks Dave. :-/

That is a funny one, but not worth getting one's self terribly worked up. Google is a private corporation, not government. Based upon past behavior, I would venture to say that that Google's politics are based on profit. The Arabs have money, sooo....

Fortunately, there is a solution. If we do not like Google's politics, we do not have to use their product.

There is, however, a larger question. Corporations are legal fictions. As such, the Federal and state governments have considerable control over them. That is not to say government should tell Google how to draw maps. The issue is encouraging corporations to focus on on long term rather than short term profits. When companies focus on the short term, they are more likely to commit lamebrained acts. I think this idiocy may be one such example.

Our laws on corporate regulation need to be revised to encourage long term thinking and more competiton. Consider that stockholders generally have diversified portfolios, and few public corporations are owned by a small number of people. Thus it is difficult for the average stockholder to exercise much influence. So instead of taking a role in managing the stock they own, stockholders manage their investments by selling unprofitable stocks and buy something profitable stocks. When a company does something stupid, stockholders sell the stock. That is, stockholders have little commitment to the companies they own, and virtually none to fixing problems.

So who is managing our major corporations? Well, considering how much CEOs are getting paid, I doubt that the people who are managing these companies are doing so in the interests of the stockholders or our nation. Too often, CEOs bleed companies for whatever they can get for themselves.

Citizen Tom. Please do not take this the wrong way. But I disagree with you. This IS in fact something to get worked up about. This is not about business. This is about the underlying plan and the ultimate goal of Islam to achieve world domination and run their world under Islamic law.

The issue Dave has brought up goes far beyond the business end of this. Business is just one tool Islam is using to achieve their goal of world domination. We have become sensitised to all they are doing because of the vast left wing machine (politicians and media) pumping Political Correctness down our throats and telling us Islam is peacful religion. It is NOT a peacful religion.

When something like this issue occurs, we just blow it off as business or some other reason. Bottom line? Islam is moving into and beginning to control every facet of our society and they are succeeding. If we are not careful, we will be praying to Mecca on prayer mats in the near future.

Hey Dino,
You may be praying to Mecca, but I never will! Your choice. If you are going to pick at Tom for blowing them off, why would you be even considering praying to Mecca?

First let me say that nowhere in my comment did I say that "I" am considering praying to Mecca. You said that. What I said was "if we (Americans) are not careful. If my words on Islams goal of wrold domintation eludes you then my point is made.

Second, if you knew me you would know I would rather die than pray to Mecca.
