I too would like to cast my vote for Fred. Could someone explain to me the process for write in votes, both in the primary and the national election. I live in Virginia. I am being led to believe it is the same as an absentee ballot. I would appreaciate any info on how to proceed.

Thanks,

Bill Threadgill, Harry Riley- In all honesty... it has been noted that sometimes women have a certain"intuition". I must say, that every time Mike Huckabee speaks- something in me starts chanting "no, no, no, no..."
The John Glenn comment is poorly researched, and maybe even spelled incorrectly... ?
When it comes down to your vote, the greatest thing is that you can still vote for who you want to be your president. Come what may, I actually voted for someone I wanted to be my president. It was wonderful.

I just voted for Thompson (early) in Tennessee today for the same reasons you talked about in your article. It was my personal choice, for my conscience and for my country and because the Lord is Lord of all. As for me and my house, we will serve Him!
Thanks for the blog, it was encouraging.

Dave,
Your article bore witness to my spirit. I told my husband the other day I was either going to write in Thompson or just not vote. I will be able to cast my vote for him in the Oregon primary. I also told him, although I would not vote for Hilary, I felt she would be held on a leash and serve only one term. Your concerns regarding Obama reflects mine. Thank you for sharing your heart on this, it has confirmed my stand. What keeps coming to my mind is Israel wanting a King and when they got him he just wasn't what the needed. With that in mind, why would I ever vote for someone I am convinced is not the person we need. I am still looking for statesmen/women, not power hungry politians. If we, the true conservative voice of the party, stand firm and not just accept anyone for the sake of the win....it will be noticed.

That is the problem. No one is walking the walk. It is just a game of
rhetoric. Mr. Thompson was the only one that fit the walk the walk bill.

Also, the fact that he has not endorsed anyone is very interesting.
Could this mean that Mr. Thompson will be waiting in the wings to
return? Who knows? One thing is for sure. Fred Thompson is not
doing things like everyone else. THIS IS WHAT WE NEED.

Our society is suffering from Statistical Morality. They are being
pushed to vote based upon what opinion polls say. In other words,
morality is becoming whatever is popular amongst people.

Actually, that is not even exactly right. After all, the biased media
are the ones conducting polls. Polls can easily be swayed one way
or the other depending on who is taking the poll and what their agenda is.

Basically, people are becoming sheeple. They are voting based upon
what the media tells them is the right policy or the right candidate. This
is very dangerous. Statistical Morality is destroying our country.

If we stand up for true morality and what is truly right, then we can
make some real changes. Certainly, we should pray more for our
nation. Most of all, we need to take action with out faith. In this process,
voting for the true conservative candidate rather than doing what the
media "claims" is the "popular" choice is the choice that will make a
difference.

We can not ignore the records of previous candidates! That is their
testimony. After all, what do they call a Christian who says that he
is a Christian, but does the opposite? Apply that to politics and it will
change our nation for the better.

So, will you stand for conviction or do what the polls tell you to do?
If we all were to vote on conviction, then we will see something amazing
happen for the Republican party and most of all our country!

I am voting for Fred Thompson in my primary!

Blessings,

Joseph

Thank God for America ......where people can make up their minds, individually......that is what we want to preserve.

However, the unasked question still remains as to why Fred Thompson allowed John Glen to single-handiedy sabotage the "China Gate - Bill Clinton" scandal during the Senate investigation of that matter......where Fred Thompson was President of the Senate Investigative Committee, which approved the endangerment of our country.

We applaud your right to a free decision, but the above question has not been asked or answered by Mr. Thompson. We also loudly applaud Mr. Thompson's rhetoric regarding the Constitution of the United States. As with other candidates, they "talk the talk", but do they "walk the walk". We have serious and grave doubts as to Mr. Thompson's walk in this matter.

The most difficult task at hand is "separating the wheat from the chaff" in this campaign. We implore God's wisdom in this difficult task

God bless David Jeffers, God Bless all the candidates and God Bless "true" Americans everwhere.

Dave,

I agree. I have to vote for Fred in my primary and trust God to handle the big picture.

The party is trying it move us into shifting sand and we need to stand on the bedrock.

Hi Dave, as you know from my e-mails already, I never could vote for anyone who would be pro-Choice. That is my first principle. Like you I look at the qualifications as much as I can with my uneducated mind. Which is you get to hear what the candidates have to say on their campaign trail but unless you have a more grounded knowledge about each individual's history it's hard to come up with a definite answer. And all you have left is to look at what each one says and what others may have to report on them and then go by that. If Bob Casey Sr. would be running today as a Democrat, I would give him my vote. Bob Casey was good for PA and he stood by his principles to the point where his own party made him an outcast. This is the kind of man that should get our vote if he is truly out there. A man who talks the talk and walks the walk irrelevant the sacrifice.

Dave, I don't think you're wasting your vote. I would do the same thing, Even if someone like Obama wins, if everyone voted their conscience instead of the popular, that would be an incredible message to the gop- God Bless you Dave- have a wonderful week!

Dave,

As for me I will cast my mark for Mike Huckabee...he may not be perfect, have some history I don't like, but all in all, I trust him to receive God's call and change as necessary. If we believe in prayer, we can make that happen.
