There really is only one clear conservative choice, Fred Thompson.
I am fed up with having to vote for the lesser of two evils. Anything less than Fred Thompson as the Republican nominee is a vote for liberals.

In that vein voting for one of the four RINO's is the same as voting for Democrat. If one of the four RINO's wins the nomination, I'll vote Democrat this time just send a very clear message to the Republican Party!!!

I've read through all of this (and other writings), watched it on TV, and heard it on the radio. There is one verse and one verse only that keeps coming to my mind and it should scare every born-again Christian in America into action. I took this from a translation that I rarely use but it puts it so well in this case. The verse is Romans 1:28 in the New Living Translation:

"When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done."

Don't be misled into thinking this is a warning to only those who refuse to acknowledge God. I checked a bunch of commentaries. It is a warning to Evangelicals who sit on their hands and do nothing and it is a warning to our nation.

I believe we are teetering on the precipice of the point at which God gives over this nation to it's own lustful appetites.

We have a choice. We can fiddle while Rome (America) burns or we can grab a bucket and get to work. It's not exaggeration when I say that I believe the fate of our nation depends on it.

Now that SC has exalted McCain and Fred placed 3rd, how do we approach this? Can he still win the nomination? I am like you, I am tired of voting for a person just because we think they can be elected. If we write in his name the Democrats are sure to take White House, but it might send a message to our party. As I look at the situation with my "spiritual" eyes I wonder if God is preparing to correct and teach!!!! Maybe America deserves a McCain, Romney, Clinton, or Obama. God have mercy upon this nation.

Hi Dave and Dino- I'm glad Mark Levin endorsed Fred, and I just read Melanie Morgan's (Move America Forward) commentary today endorsing Fred as well. I do pray that South Carolina will, in Dino's words- have the stones to vote for someone who tells it like it is- Fred Thompson. Seems to me that these past decades- starting with G. W. Bush, the Republican party has just either wilted or got downright cowardly when it comes to standing for real conservatism, and even Christian values. It's sad to see so many opportunities wasted in the past. I pray that it will not happen when so much of the world's safety and America's very soul may be at stake with this election. God Bless y'all and have a wonderful weekend~ Carolyn
