Since you and the nation lost Eddie I am always amazed in your presence . I've learned what Christian faith and strength looks like. You and your family have been a wonderful example to me and everyone around you. Keep on the path. Thank you

I'm glad she called, and I appreciate the honest and balanced way you portrayed the conversation. As always, the proof is in the pudding and we'll see if she'll let The Word speak through her. God Bless.

Good on Pelosi. It'd be a nice gesture if Reid and Murtha followed suite. I wonder if they, as well, have read Eddie's articles?

Dear Dave,
Only God could give you the opportunity to tell Nancy Pelosi that your faith in Christ was the thing that sustained you all during this time of grief. Jesus was lifted up....the witness has gone forth. Time to pray. A word fitly spoken can change the course of history. God can reach down and change any heart....He changed mine, didn't He?

Love to the family,
Sherri

It appears that Nancy Pelosi either had a motherly moment, or a kindly human moment when words from men like Eddie might have actually touched her, albeit for a fleeting moment only. My old and wise sunday school teacher once repeated the phrase that a "leopard can't change it's spots." I'm too much of a cynic (the libs did that to me) to truly beleive Nancy Pelosi will change her far far to the left liberal San Francisco persona anytime soon. Yes, miracles happen, but it's usually the new birth that changes the heart, and not a touchy feely moment of emotion. Even though I will give her a nod for calling Dave and making some nice comments about Eddie, Mrs Pelosi is too far gone to be much more than she is. Hope I wrong. Lou Mahopac, NY

Pelosi's opportunism doesn't impress me. I would have called her a hypocrite and hung up. She's a mealy-mouthed, unhinged moonbat, like the rest of the Democratic Party. Their incessent denigrating of this country makes that phone call a disingenuous farce.

Rest easy, SGT Jeffers.

How utterly appropriate that Eddie's words reached the very ears he intended them to. Perhaps they are having the effect he so desired as well.

Holy Smokes! If it wasn't you, Dave, talking about this- I wouldn't believe it. God is so Great, and He can move even the most stubborn heart. I pray that maybe He will produce many miracles through Eddie's letters- God Bless you! How amazing! Happy new Year too! Carolyn
